To be: Authentic

Authentic is a hot word I’ve come into contact with a lot this week. Whether it be branding, social media content, or just how you represent yourself as a person; being authentic is critical.

What does being authentic mean?To me, authentic is being human, and being yourself. This is something I am constantly thinking about for my own brand, as well as helping to develop for clients at work.

So how do we do it? Well, I don’t think it requires anything super original or unique. I think it means creating a story to connect with people that they can relate to. I think when you ask yourself, “is my brand authentic?”, you should ask yourself if the story you are promoting is relatable, real and consistent.
